Responding to Japan’s rapidly growing inbound tourism, Phoenix saw
the investment opportunity in the hospitality industry of Kyoto.
The Hedistar Hotel Kyoto Nijo is an 11-storey boutique hotel with
85 suites, with sizes ranging from 10 to 16 sq. m. Ideally located
next to the major historical tourist attraction Nijo Castle, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel offers its guests the
perfect opportunity for sightseeing.
Kyoto’s tourism boom has resulted in highly demanded occupancy
levels in the hotel market. The new hotel is expected to cater for
the needs of a robust growth in international and domestic
travellers.
Phoenix fully utilized its project management expertise and after
completion of construction in 2018, and sold the property to a
local listed financial services firm.
